The mohair fibers are, compared to wool, shiny and a bit stronger. Silk has been one of the most sought-after textile fibers for thousands of years. It is glossy, beautiful, strong and incredibly comfortable to wear. The combination of silk and a cloud of mohair is one of the most delicious and luxurious yarns you could wish to knit with.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMohair comes from the Angora goat. The Angora goat originates from the area around Ankara in Turkey, hence the name. The word mohair has Arabic roots, and the Angora goat is also sometimes referred to as mohair goat.
