Amikihia Knits - Kerepe Sweater
Kerepe is te reo Māori for grapes and the little bobbles in the lace pattern represent the growth of tiny grapes in the overall garment.
Kerepe is a top down yoke garment with short row shaping for the shoulders and a wonderfully detailed yet intuitive lace pattern. There are three different body shaping options (no shaping, waist and hip shaping and hip only shaping), all finished with a picot edge (seamed but with clear instructions) or twisted rib which is worked on the hem and cuffs. There are two sleeve options, either short or ¾ length sleeves.
Kerepe is intended to be worn with 1 - 4” / 2.5 - 10 cm of positive ease. Choose a size to knit that is between 1 – 4” / 2.5 -10 cm larger than your actual bust size.
