This DK hat comes in two versions with two brim and length options, meaning that there are 8 possible different hats you can make out of this one pattern. The hat is simple with a clean cast on edge from a cable cast-on and finished with a square crown shaped with decreases.
All versions of the hat begin the same, and from there you choose your fabric type: stockinette or ribbed, your brim version: single brim or folded, and your crown: beanie (tight fitting) or slouchy.
Yarn needed:
Beanie - 100m DK weight yarn
Slouchy with no brim or Beanie with brim 150m DK weight yarn
Slouchy with brim - 200m DK weight yarn
The rib only versions of the hat are knit entirely on 3.5 mm needles, the version with stockinette also uses a 4mm needle.
Yarn weight - DK/8 ply (11 wpi)
Gauge - 32 stitches = 4 inches in 1 x 1 rib in the round with 3.5 mm needle
