Vilja is a is a lovely 3-ply yarn spun from fibres of Peruvian alpacas. Vilja is soft, warm, and pliable, and perfectly suitable for many kinds of projects. 
We spin from the same good fibre quality as Alva.

Alpaca is a llama species, belonging to the camel family that originates from the South American highlands. The indigenous people of South America have known and used alpaca fibres for thousands of years. 

In the South American Highlands, the temperature can vary between +30 and -20 degrees in a single day. The hollow structure of the alpaca fibres makes room for air bubbles, making the fibre breathable on warm days and isolating on cold nights. This makes the alpacas suitable for living in the highlands and makes the alpaca fibre perfectly suitable for clothing as well.
